Fundraise for Dolly
Below is information and resources you need to fundraise for the Imagination Library.
Lots of businesses and individuals give to charitable causes. By raising funds for the Imagination Library you are directly helping children here in Nottingham. By improving early literacy you are helping children to achieve more at school and grow up to fulfil their true potential. You never know, one day you might be employing the children you’re helping today!
Give as your earn
The best way to help this amazing charity is to promote the Imagination Library to your staff through a ‘give as you earn scheme’. Sometimes known as payroll giving or workplace giving, this method of donation can be a really valuable, long term source of regular revenue for the Imagination Library. It is a really easy and efficient way to give – every penny you donate will go directly to providing another book to Nottingham’s children.
Dolly Day 2016
In 2016, Nottingham held its first ever city-wide “Dolly Day” as a fun way of raising funds and awareness for the Imagination Library.
There are lots of ways people got involved, in the past people have:
- Held sponsored dress-down days or fancy dress days
- Organised sponsored read-a-thons or line dances
- Arranged cake sales selling yummy treats
- Good old bucket shaking is really simple and very effective
The possibilities for fundraising are endless – anything your imagination can think up
