The Dolly Parton Imagination Library scheme has launched in two more wards in Nottingham City: Dales and Bridge. Meaning all babies born in Dales and Bridge wards after 1 January 2018 will be eligible to join the scheme. The Imagination Library is now running in 9 of the 20 wards of the city!
To promote the Imagination Library’s expansion launch events took place in both the Meadows and Dales Library in March 2018.
Councillor David Mellen, Portfolio Holder for Early Intervention and Early Years, said:
“I am delighted that the Dolly Parton Imagination Library scheme is launching in Dales and Bridge, and it is my hope that the scheme will soon be rolled out across all wards in the city.
“The Dolly Parton Imagination Library ensures every registered child, whatever their family circumstances, receives a book every month. It’s about giving our children the joy of reading.”
